Hence I removed the two comments above.

I have made one of those family photo calendars also.

Life is so short we realize when we lose a loved one. That is why I am cherishing the time with my current husband. See my blogs.

Here is part of the scrapbook poem I wrote for my late husband who died the day after Christmas in 1992.

"I didn't get to say good-bye to you
Because I didn't know you were going. . .
You always responded to us
The silence hangs now. . .
We all have to say good-bye
Treasure the memories
Uncork the tears
But we didn't get to say good-bye. . .
In heaven I will say hello again
And then, maybe, it won't matter
That I didn't get to say good-bye."

I realize now that my scrapbook did help me say good-bye and that I have a new life now with new adventures.

Also, I had the privilege of speaking about my Dad before he died. The tape of that speech was played at his funeral, but he got to hear it while he lived.Carol Noren Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10103922738438801967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7442069545372366807.post-55289820201216284892009-02-10T05:05:00.000-06:002009-02-10T05:05:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Carol Noren Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10103922738438801967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7442069545372366807.post-74347587484171124572009-02-10T05:00:00.000-06:002009-02-10T05:00:00.000-06:00This comment has been removed by the author.Carol Noren Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10103922738438801967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7442069545372366807.post-33576759821328868632009-02-09T18:41:00.000-06:002009-02-09T18:41:00.000-06:00I've done several scrapbooks for my parents but no...I've done several scrapbooks for my parents but not one specifically on my dad. That's a great idea and thank you for that. I made a scrapbook calendar for my mom this Christmas. There are 12 grandchildren so I highlighted a grandchild each month.Terrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13675951016626673904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7442069545372366807.post-53334311137829673272009-02-09T06:12:00.000-06:002009-02-09T06:12:00.000-06:00You made it one year.
