About Me

I am the proud mother of two sons and a daughter and grandmother of three-year-old twin girls, Brooke and Haylee. Until recently, my son, daughter-in-law, and the twins lived with us while my son finished school. I love those beautiful babies so much. My son does not like to talk about it, but he was diagnosed with advanced Hodgkin's Lymphoma a few months before the girls were born. He finished chemotherapy and radiation when the girls were 6 months old and remains in remission today. Aren't they beautiful girls? That's Brooke on the left and Haylee on the right.

Beacoup joie de vivre means "the healthy enjoyment of life." With the loss of my dear father last January, the past year was difficult. I hope that creating this blog will help me in my quest to work a little less, enjoy life more, and treasure the truly important things.
