About Me

My photo
My passion is decorating with vintage and antique finds on a budget. There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of going into a goodwill. That day has passed. :) My second love is scrapbooking all those special family moments for posterity, and I recently set up my very own scrapbooking room. I have three beautiful children, two sons and a daughter as well as a sweet (albeit full blooded Yankee) daughter-in-law and two grandgirls. I also enjoy gardening, meeting new friends and relaxing on my patio in the evenings with a glass of fine wine. During the summer of 2001, I spent two glorious weeks at Kennedy Space Center. I've been somewhat of a space geek ever since....

About Me

I am the proud mother of two sons and a daughter and grandmother of three-year-old twin girls, Brooke and Haylee. Until recently, my son, daughter-in-law, and the twins lived with us while my son finished school. I love those beautiful babies so much. My son does not like to talk about it, but he was diagnosed with advanced Hodgkin's Lymphoma a few months before the girls were born. He finished chemotherapy and radiation when the girls were 6 months old and remains in remission today. Aren't they beautiful girls? That's Brooke on the left and Haylee on the right.

  1. Terri,
I got into blogging recently also. Glad your son is in remission and you all can enjoy these precious girls.

I retired a year and a half ago from public school teaching. I have a Florida Reading Endorsement added on to my certificate. Does LA have a special requirement for reading teachers?

  2. No, no special requirement. I have a master's degree in reading with a minor in administration. This is my 30th year but I have only 28 years paid into retirement so I'll have to go a few more years before I retire. My baby girl is a senior in high school and will be starting college in the fall so retirement just has to wait.
