About Me

My photo
My passion is decorating with vintage and antique finds on a budget. There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of going into a goodwill. That day has passed. :) My second love is scrapbooking all those special family moments for posterity, and I recently set up my very own scrapbooking room. I have three beautiful children, two sons and a daughter as well as a sweet (albeit full blooded Yankee) daughter-in-law and two grandgirls. I also enjoy gardening, meeting new friends and relaxing on my patio in the evenings with a glass of fine wine. During the summer of 2001, I spent two glorious weeks at Kennedy Space Center. I've been somewhat of a space geek ever since....

Old Time Pottery - My New Favorite Store

Found a really really neat store in Foley, Alabama near the outlet mall called Old Time Pottery. There are bargains there like you wouldn't believe! I purchased all the greenery for this urn for a song and added the red flowers later when I hit a Hobby Lobby 50% off sale. Thinking it needs some feathers in it, maybe in brown tones? Any thoughts on that, anyone? Not bad for under $30.00, huh?

  1. Under $30? Wow I am impressed. Looks like that could have cost a lot more. I like how it turned out.

  2. 3 peacock feathers maybe to spark up? Actually you may be done. As always, you have great taste and love how you share this. We will look it up when we go to AL.

  3. Hey, Terri, thanks for your very sweet note! I appreciate all of you girls out there who read me faithfully. Ya'll really rallied on this one & I appreciate it.

Old Time Pottery is a good store, been shopping there for years. If you get a chance near Foley, check out The Plunderosa. I posted on that awhile back. Neat store!

  4. You know I will be there! Ole homestead is just nextdoor to me. So funny! Glad you made it back from senior trip. Jesse had a good time but he said ,after the fact, that he wished he would have just waited for our trip coming up. He spent way too much money and it was cold and rainy. You live and you learn...then you listen to your momma..smiles. Look forward to meeting you and Kim. I will have my camera ready!

  5. I so love me some OTP. It rocks! I scored some sweet Fiesta saucers there in rose and black, for 15 cents each. They are discolored on the bottom -- but who eats off the bottom? 15 cents? OH YEAH!
