About Me

My photo
My passion is decorating with vintage and antique finds on a budget. There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of going into a goodwill. That day has passed. :) My second love is scrapbooking all those special family moments for posterity, and I recently set up my very own scrapbooking room. I have three beautiful children, two sons and a daughter as well as a sweet (albeit full blooded Yankee) daughter-in-law and two grandgirls. I also enjoy gardening, meeting new friends and relaxing on my patio in the evenings with a glass of fine wine. During the summer of 2001, I spent two glorious weeks at Kennedy Space Center. I've been somewhat of a space geek ever since....

Mother's Day Pics

Some members of the family who will remain UNNAMED tend to wince when the trusty old camera comes out...... I don't understand it. Here I am trying to document these special times for posterity and I get strange grimaces. GEEZ!!!!! What's a mom to do but snap those shots anyway.... KK, your habits are rubbing off on your wee niece. Shame on you!!! And no, you are NOT seeing double.... The two on the left are the identicals of the triplet brood. The two on the right are fraternal twins. Aren't they all simply adorable?
Here's a shot of all five of them.... Haylee, Emma or Isabella, Isabella or Emma (can't ever tell them apart), Alexandria covering her face, and Brooke hanging onto her daddy....

Beating and pounding on the countertop demanding FOOD!!!!! LOL

Here they are. My two precious grandbabies swimming in my sister's pool. Haylee was shaking so bad that her teeth were chattering. It was unseasonably cool for Louisiana yesterday.

Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day.........................

  2. Such a fun Mother's Day. I remember those first cold swimming days of the season, but you just have to jump in. Good life lessons.

  4. Hey Terri!

You are so right, our lives really do mirror each others! My ex is always welcome at our gatherings but not so much his "wife". Without going into all the gory details, let's just say she is a "lady of the night" (know what I mean?) and that's not a lie. When I divorced I worked for a divorce atty, had a free court reporter who was a friend, and another friend who is a private detective so I was able to get way more information that I wanted. Her "profession" was never in dispute and she caused lots of drama before, during and still even now after the divorce. If you ever want to swap stories, I can hang with the best of them when it comes to divorce stories. It's only been since the twins were born that ex-hubby and I can communicate.

Anyway, I was reading your post about refinancing your house. It can certainly be a nightmare. I have worked for divorce attys. all my life and I will say that most mortgage companys will want the FINAL DIVORCE DECREE which legally incorporates the Settlement Agreement....be sure your new mortgage company does not need that before you get too far involved with them only to find out they need that as well.....hopefully you do have that Order from the Court.

    Your outdoor pictures are stunning!

    Hugs!

  5. Hi Terri!
I just wanted to come by and say hi and let you know that I reposted that ruler DIY. You are one lucky girl to get all of those rulers! I have to shop at the Royal Standard and pick one up everytime I visit...bless my heart I know..ha! If you run short you can always visit them. They have a basket by the front door full of them and they just give em' away. How sweet is that! Have fun making yours. Take care~ Susie
