You know.... I love decorating for the holidays but haven't ever done much for Valentine's Day. I guess it's because down here in the deep south we decorate for Mardi Gras and the two holidays fall close to one another. So in lieu of a Valentine's post, here's my tribute to Mardi Gras. Put this little tree together a couple of years ago from materials from one of my favorite stores - Michael's.

Terri,
ReplyDeleteThose are really beautiful, how creative you are! cindy
Were you in the hurricane? I have been in several, but nothing like Katrina.
ReplyDeleteBecause I live in Plant City, Florida, we celebrate our strawberries. I took pictures of strawberry fields today to put on my blog. Our Strawberry Festival is coming up at the end of the month.
Yes, Katrina passed right over us and also Gustav this past fall. We live about an hour north of New Orleans and had lots of evacuees living in hotels for months afterward. Actually we had more damage from Gustav. We watched the shingles on the back gables rise and fall, rise and fall, and finally blow off and hit our back windows. Had to put a whole new roof on and pay that new "hurricane deductible." Ouch.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and visiting me. I love your Mardi Gras pictures. Great color.
