Okay, so here it is, the new addition to the household. The sofa, not the cat. I didn't want to get rid of my rug so I went for colors that would blend. It's a HUGE and very comfy sofa, much bigger than any others I've owned. The walls have suddenly taken on a pinkish cast due to the warm tones in the sofa. The room has needed repainting but I've been waiting on the sofa purchase to choose the new color. You know how it goes - - you purchase something new and suddenly everything needs updating. I'm not sure if a light gold or tan wall color would look better. Any thoughts on that? There's a lot of red in the rug but I've got a red dining room and that would be too much red. I've also removed the outdated shiny brass lamp that was on the side table, and I'm thinking that a nice floor lamp would be perfect in that corner. Perfect spot to kick back with a good book and a glass of zinfandel, don't you think?

The new couch is beautiful !! I vote for the light gold color. Cindy
ReplyDeleteCouch is great! I love a mauve oe cocoa wall with pink, red and gold accents in the room. To me those colors say comfort and elegance. Put the colors up to the wall and decide. Terri, you have excellent taste.
