About Me

My photo
My passion is decorating with vintage and antique finds on a budget. There was a time when I wouldn't have dreamed of going into a goodwill. That day has passed. :) My second love is scrapbooking all those special family moments for posterity, and I recently set up my very own scrapbooking room. I have three beautiful children, two sons and a daughter as well as a sweet (albeit full blooded Yankee) daughter-in-law and two grandgirls. I also enjoy gardening, meeting new friends and relaxing on my patio in the evenings with a glass of fine wine. During the summer of 2001, I spent two glorious weeks at Kennedy Space Center. I've been somewhat of a space geek ever since....

Three or More Tuesday

Years ago when I married into the Colclough family, my dear mother-in-law told me about an old line of English china with that name. I scoured antique shops and looked for it at auctions and found a piece or two. Then Ebay made its grand entrance and I began to collect with a vengeance as did my sisters in law. But you know what? Somehow it was lots more fun to have to search and search for my treasures. If you're familiar with Royal Doulton, you'll notice that the shape of the cups is similar. Here is some of my collection showcased for Three or More Tuesday. I've purchased pieces from all over the country, Australia, and England. I wish I'd kept track of which pieces came from where. Which pattern do you prefer? The crinoline lady is my personal favorite.

  1. Your collection is exquisite! I bet everything has gone up in value as well.

My collection is ruby red depression glass. When I go to antique stores now, I usually already own what is there and I didn't pay what they are currently asking. I use my collection all the time--even for bringing potluck to church.

  3. Very pretty dishes, the border pattern is lovely. I really like your wallcolor, it's a beautiful shade. Do you know what color it is?

  4. Yes, Tracy, it's a Behr brand from Home Depot. The color is Almond Toast. When we built, we used Devoe brand, very expensive. As I've repainted, I've used Behr and have been very pleased with the durability. And it helps to be able to shop until 9:00 p.m.
